At Honour Films, we are storytellers at heart. Founded with the belief that cinema has the power to shape perspectives and drive change, we stand alongside underrepresented voices and shine a light on the stories that too often go unheard. Our commitment is rooted in advocacy, integrity, and inclusion.

We believe in the power of film not only to entertain but also to foster empathy, break down barriers, and challenge stereotypes. Every project we take on is a step toward a more just and inclusive cinematic landscape, where stories from diverse backgrounds are given the platform they deserve.

Through authentic storytelling, collaborative creation, and impactful distribution, Honour Films is dedicated to uplifting the narratives of marginalized communities and fostering meaningful dialogue.

Meet Sharon Round

Sharon is a passionate first-time filmmaker dedicated to highlighting the voices and stories of oppressed communities, with a deep-rooted belief in the power of storytelling. She aims to bridge the gap between underrepresented narratives and mainstream cinema.

Having grown up in a small town, Sharon has witnessed firsthand the struggles and triumphs of those often overlooked by traditional media. This personal connection fuels her commitment to crafting films that not only entertain but also educate and encourage change.

Through her debut project, Matoaka: The Untold Story of Pocahontas, Sharon explores the retelling of a story regarding one of the most iconic Indigenous women in American history by shedding light on the complexities of identity, resilience, and the human experience. By prioritizing authenticity and collaboration, she works closely with communities and individuals to ensure their stories are told with integrity and respect.

As an advocate for social justice, Sharon believes in the transformative power of film to foster compassion and understanding. Sharon is dedicated to sharing a platform for those whose stories have long been silenced, aiming to stimulate conversations and inspire action.

Sharon invites you to join her on this journey to amplify voices, challenge narratives, and celebrate the fascinating mosaic of human experience through the lens of film.

Our mission

Our mission is simple: to tell the stories that matter. At Honour Films, we are committed to creating films that shine a light on the experiences, struggles, and triumphs of historically excluded populations. Our films are designed not just to entertain but also to educate, inspire, and advocate for social and cultural justice.

We empower underrepresented voices in the film industry, providing opportunities for filmmakers, writers, and actors from diverse backgrounds to share their perspectives. We aim to spark conversation, encourage action, and ultimately create a more equitable world through the art of cinema.

Our vision

In a world where many voices are marginalized or silenced, Honour Films envisions a cinematic landscape that truly reflects the diversity of the human experience. We are passionate about amplifying stories that have been overlooked, misrepresented, or erased by mainstream narratives.

Our vision is to cultivate empathy and understanding by bringing these untold stories to the forefront. We believe that by sharing diverse experiences, we can foster a deeper connection among audiences, bridging gaps of understanding and inspiring social change.

We seek a world where every story—no matter how challenging or underrepresented—has the power to make a meaningful impact.
